Part of the fun and excitement of greyhound racing is placing a bet.
This is not difficult and our Tote staff will be more than happy to answer any questions that you have.

If you win, the dividends are displayed on the screens throughout the stadium to a £1 stake and you can collect your winnings from any Tote booth.

The range of bets available to you are as follows:-

Win Only

Simply select the dog you think will win. There are usually six dogs in a race - minimum stake £1.00

Place

Select a Greyhound that you think will finish first or second. Minimum stake £1.00

Forecast

Select 2 greyhounds to finish 1st and 2nd in the correct order, minimum stake 50p. Or ask for a 'Reversed' Forecast: Select 2 greyhounds to finish 1st and 2nd in either order. Minimum stake 2 bets @50p = £1.00

Trio

Try and predict the first three dogs home! Again, you can select either three dogs in the correct order, this would be 1 bet. If you select three dogs and you want them to finish in any order, ask for it ‘all ways’ which would be six bets. Minimum stake 50p (£3.00 for ‘all ways’)

Jackpot

Your chance to win a big amount for a small investment. Select the winner of six races (usually from Race 5 to Race 10). Check on the night to see what the pot stands at. The jackpot at the Stadium has reached over £12000!!! Exchange your ticket after each race - 50p units.

Track Side Stadium Bookmakers

You will also notice our stadium bookmakers betting at the trackside. These are independent firms that offer ‘FIXED ODDS’ so that you can get the board price of the dog you select at the time you place your bet. Normally there is a £5 minimum stake and you can bet WIN only.

William Hill operate a full service betting office in the downstairs bar area. You can watch and bet on horse racing, greyhound racing from around the country and other sporting events.
